ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Logan Webb allowed one run over seven innings, Thairo Estrada homered twice and the San Francisco Giants cruised past the Tampa Bay Rays 11-2 on Saturday. Webb (1-1) scattered six hits in his fourth start of the season. The 2023 NL Cy Young Award runner-up lowered his ERA from 4.86 to 3.80. “A good solid seven innings out of him in the game where guys like him pitch well — a game that we needed,” Giants manager Bob Melvin said. San Francisco had lost three of four. LaMonte Wade Jr., Jorge Soler and Matt Chapman also homered for the Giants, who entered with a seven-game longball drought. “We’re happy with the win,” Estrada said through a translator. “I mean, especially the way the offense worked, Webb did a great job.
